Device Connectivity Issue

Writing to inquire...  Have a Dell Chromebook and would want to connect an LG flipphone for file transfers.  Would first ask how one determines what chromebook version this is... Also, would want to know why connecting an LG125DL flip phone gets no recognition from the chromebook.  Have tried a number of USB cables. Main goal would be to at least move files.

Guidance sought

The easiest may be to use Bluetooth.

You need a data USB cable not just one that does charging if you want to connect with USB cable. A charging cable is missing connections of the D+ and D- data lines.

Do you follow these steps?

Use the USB cable that came with your phone to connect the phone to a USB port on your computer.

Open the notification panel and tap the USB connection icon.

Tap the connection mode you want to use to connect to the PC. Choose from the following options: Charge Only, Media Sync (MTP), Internet Connection, or Camera (PTP).

If you did this  then you need to explore more.
