Dell 3100 2-in-1 loses OS when it loses power.
Our school purchased quite a few of these devices. What I'm seeing, after rolling them out this past summer, is that I have quite a few that, when the student burns through the battery's charge, when they try to charge it up and get back it, the OS is gone/corrupt. I have to go through a full system recovery to put the OS back on. But, if the student allows the device to go to 0% battery power, it will again lose the OS.
Not sure what other information to give. Just wanted to see if this is a known issue or if we got the special Chromebooks.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

FYI Dell doesn't read any of this. Make sure you submit a bug report to google too.
