Chrome OS missing or damaged 11-3100

We have 325 Dell Chromebooks 11-3100 models. I have had to reset ChromeOS on 5 today and probably 5 last week. Initially I thought someone was Power Washing other students' devices when they weren't looking, but the 5 today were all from different classes. I just got another one, so that's 6 today. These Chromebooks were enrolled early August, 2022, so they're not old. I've not had this be an issue before on such an new device. Has anyone else experienced ChromeOS missing or damaged issues on these Chromebooks?

We had about 15 devices in 1 classroom exhibit this behavior this morning; teacher says the devices were manually updated, and then rebooted to the OS missing or damaged message.  We couldn't reproduce the issue.

Your top enteprise admin needs to fix this. if OS missing you can use SHIM RMA to install one, however ChromeOS by design is very secure and will require that you authenticate before you install an OS from SHIM, it will show you a QR code if you are a deligated GCP admin then you will not get the notification or any options to authenticate, in other words don't bother fixing order mobo. The very top enterprise admin is the one will get these notifications and he/she might not know what those authentication pop ups or prompts are for! for large organizations 15 is not a big deal, you either ship them back to Dell if they are under warranty or you order a new mobo for each from Dell only. Dell warranty does cover new mobo for chrome system that has OS missing or TPM chip corruption. also make sure your return all the requied parts to Dell accordingly.

OS missing or corrupt also could be fixed for certain models such as Chrome Dell 3100 and 3110. I have not fixed other entperise enrolled but the above could be done the following way.

press ESC+Refresh or restart+ striking the power button observe the LED light on the side has to go solid which means the Nvram is reading and preparing to boot, of course the OS misisng or corrupt message means its not booting to chrome Fleex OS. try the key combo above and followed by control+ESC this is to force device to read from external USB bootable "DO NOT connect any bootable drives" continue the above steps until you see the message asking to INSERT Boot or external drive! once you do Press once Control + D to Enter devMode. DevMode is disabled by Google Top Admin Machine policy so You can't so for model 3100 keep power connected but remove the battery power supply which also allows entering DevMode and remove any user profiles and data "which TPM is doing its job now preventing you or anyone accessing the data", once you press Contorl + D once and you will see the message on the screen says "System will reboot" let it reboot should not take more than 10 or 15 seconds. it will be like a powerwash but in devMode. once this process is complete power off then connect the battery, boot up and don't press anything if you have issues except for Power on button, if not then ESC+Refresh+striking power key. and OS will load.
