Storage strategy question

We have mirror and parity capability define as:

Config# show protection

And storage-strategy as:

storage-strategy              performance

     performance: full

     threshold: 256 KB

My question is what does performance:full means ?? and will data that is larger than 256KB be written as storage-strategy capacity (single instance)
