recommended Nodes to extend Centera
Hello.
I have 2 Centera's (4 Nodes each, 2TB disks) and now the "Free Object Count" is < 9%.
How many nodes do I have to order to not harm the Cluster and to get enough additional space/free object count?
Is there any Whitepaper discribing the best practices how to extend?

Yes if the supported object count is already set to the maximum (100 Million object per node) then it's time to get more nodes.
Do a show object detail all on CLI to check the supported object count set. if not changed the default is 50, but can be increased up to 100.

In this case you'll need to get new nodes to support more objects. You can get an increment of 2 (ie 2,4,6) up to 16 node per cube depending on your usage.

Hello MBuehlmeier,
You can extend with an increment of 2 nodes per centera.
Each node has 100 Million supported object count, so maybe you only need to increase object count.

Hello.
Thank you for this feedback.
I have a 4 Node Centera and the Object Count is less 10%. When I now extend by only 2 nodes I see danger for the Cluster.
Am I right?
With best regards,

Hello
As you aure archiving small files, concister to activate also embedding of file e.g. smaller than 73kB. This "doubles" the available object count
