Possible to use local disk instead of Centera from the SDK?

I heard a rumor that there is a way to specify the connection string in the Centera SDK such that when you open the pool you are actually just writing to local disk on that host.  Is this true?  Basically we have automated unit tests that are run against every checkin and among other things they need to create some objects and then remove them.  I’d prefer not to use the public Centera for that as we aren’t really testing the Centera per se, just that there’ve been no regressions on our Centera driver that uses the SDK.
