Migrate Data from Centera
We have about 2TB of data that was sent via DiskXtender to the Centerra, I need to move this data from the centera to a different drive on the original server. What is the best way to do this ?

More of a DiskXtender question. I would use Replistor to a USB hard drive. Especially if it is a large amount of data.
Once the files are pulled to the hard drive you can move/copy them anywhere you like...

Hi Rob
Do you want the data to be on that drive as it was or just the stub files?
If you have the space and you want the data there enabling direct read and copying the files might be a solution.
In the second case the admin guide should provide a backup restore procedure that would get you the solution.

Hey Rob,
I know this post is a few years old, but I figured I would pop in and see where you stood. Are you still on DX/Centera as it stands today?
We are a long-time partner of EMC's and a real sweet spot of ours is Centera to Next-Generation Storage migrations. This is a software-driven process that is low-cost, wizard-driven and can be performed by your team or you can leverage ours. Either/Or.
Please let me know as we are performing a boat load of these across North America as we speak.
All my best,
Derick
