Issue in storing and retrieving documents from centera
Hello,
I am facing the below error during creation of Xset. The same code was working fine for past 6 months. Would like to know the reason for the error and how to fix this issue.
org.snia.xam.XAMException: com.emc.centera/FP_SDK_INTERNAL_ERR
at org.snia.xam.XAMErrors.throwConvertedException(Unknown Source)
at org.snia.xam.XAMErrors.throwConvertedException(Unknown Source)
at org.snia.xam.XSystemImpl.createXSet(Unknown Source)
at StoreContent.storeFile(StoreContent.java:73)
at StoreContent.main(StoreContent.java:155)
Thanks

Hi,
We are currently facing the same issue since today, midnight.
Is 29/02 involved by some way ? I would think so...
Fast feedback would be really appreciated.

Support are getting calls about this and it looks to me to be a Feb 29th issue.
At the moment I can only suggest not running any tests.
I've passed support the link to this thread. If anyone has anymore diagnostic info please post here.
One test which would be good is if someone could flip the date to tomorrow on their test server and see if the problem goes away and dates are displayed normally

Hi,
On our side, we'll try ASAP to write something with the date of tomorrow. I'll communicate test results.
By the way, which production environment do you have ?
We are using WebSphere 6.1, on RedHat Enterprise Linux 64bit. With IBM JDK 1.5.

Julien

flipping the clock might not be an option ... we're synchronized to NTP.
Does the API use client or server clock ?
Flipping forward we can try, but from past experience it takes about a month per hour to come back to normal ... this means our system will be desynchronized for 11 months to come ... ?

Just performed a quick test ... changing the clock on the client side doesn't help.
And since we don't own a test server we'll have to wait Midnight UTC to know the answer.

Now getting errors while reading content !!
Caused by: org.snia.xam.XAMException: com.emc.centera/FP_SDK_INTERNAL_ERR
at org.snia.xam.XAMErrors.throwConvertedException(Unknown Source)
at org.snia.xam.XAMErrors.throwConvertedException(Unknown Source)
at org.snia.xam.XSystemImpl.openXSet(Unknown Source)
at com.irislink.doccenter.server.servicesimpl.storageengines.xam.StorageEngineXAMServiceImpl.readBinaryContent(StorageEngineXAMServiceImpl.java:178)
... 95 more
Any idea why some older documents can't be read ?

FYI support are still looking into this.
The timestamps from both the local clock and the centera clock will be getting looked at by the SDK

Same problem on two different Centera located in two disconncted DC :
First occurence Feb 29 08:51:03 CET
EMC support called on the morning : waiting an update.
Hoping data will not be corrupted or lost tomorrow.
Centera boxes are not ntp synced, but showing the right date :
****************************** Show Cluster Time ******************************
Cluster: mer. févr. 29 17:55:55 2012 UTC (External NTP disabled)
************************** Show Pool Detail cluster ***************************
41 min to go before the D-day :-p

Midnight UTC : YEP it works again ...
The patch also works however, so this won't happen again in 4 years ...

How can we get the patch ? Will be the patch available somewhere or can it be posted in this thread ?
Regards,
David.

When could we expect an offical release/patch for all supported platforms solving this issue?
The last provided offical patch is still XAM 1.0P3 (1.0.103) from july 22th of 2011.
Hopefully before 29th of 2016
