Hi Susie
CBRM is unfortunately at its end of product support.
There are two solutions available:
Seven10Storage storfirst ALTUS will backup your Centera but contains it own tape management. The server requires a physical or virtual tape.
Our solution Replitect is based on replicated systems. We delay the delete replication and export the objects deleted on the primary from the secondary to a filesystem. This directory can be backed up with Networker or any other backup software. Replitect allows you to search object metadata and also to recover to Centera or to recover the blobs into files directly. Integration with 3rd party applications like DiskXtender is already done or can be done specific to your applications with some changes in config files. Replitect will also only backup deleted information which is typically a lot less that your overall used capacity.
Our customers tell us the search capability through metadata is one of the most powerful features.
Contact me on holger.jakob@informatio.ch for more information on Replitect if you think it could be something for you.
Best regards, Holger
