ClipId Problem by Centera and EMC SDK under BizTalk 2006R2

Hello together,

we have a litte problem here with the SDK from EMC for the Centera. We use this SDK under BizTalk 2006R2 to store Files in the Centera an get them back from it.

The normal way is that the BizTalk send the Files with the SDK to the Centera and the Centera get back the ClipId, so that the BizTalk Server can store the ClipId in an database.

Some times (In the last 2 years 3 times) we have the problem that the SDK send the File to the Centera, the Centera give an ClipId, but the SDK doesn't send the ClipId back to the BizTalk.

We mus then get an EMC Technican here that take out a ClipList an we have to search the clip by hand from this ClipList.

Have somebody a knowlage about this problem???

For any help I'am very pleasent.

Thanks for your question...

The thread has been moved into the Centera SDK community so that it gets seen by people who may be able to help.

Thank you for sharing the information about the SDK. Here are a couple of things that I suggest:

  • The SDK (3.1.473) that you are using is end of service life - you should plan on moving to the latest SDK. Centera SDK has gone through various revisions and a lot of improvements/enhancements have been made. The current SDK version available is 3.2 P4 (3.2.687)
  • Generate and collect SDK log files for the duration when this issue is observed and open up a Service Request with EMC and share the SDK log files
