Centera Viewer Sho location
Hi all,
I was asked to confirm that my files were written to the DR centera for few clips , i tried to use centera viewer and sho location , i got the below
Config# sho location 8IQ4OGF5HBLUDe7AECRGVT4GD5A
8IQ4OGF5HBLUDe7AECRGVT4GD5A is located on nodes:
NodeName: c001n08
Fragment Blob Address: 8IQ4OGF5HBLUDe7AECRGVT4GD5A~MD5~M2-1LOD88PVSH1.0
PartitionID: 8631793117755361602
NodeName: c001n05
Fragment Blob Address: 8IQ4OGF5HBLUDe7AECRGVT4GD5A~MD5~M2-1LOD88PVSH1.1
PartitionID: 8631813858901038716
It contains 0 content blobs:
Am not a centera , so can you advise what does " It contains 0 content blobs " means ?
Regards
Joe

It means that the clips do not have any blob references. These clips contain embedded blobs where the blob data is contained within the clip itself rather than in a separate blob entity.
There is no problem here.

Hi Symmetrix
How comes I just had the idea that you are not Centera as you say :-)
If you got a number of Clip ID's from the applications then a show location tells you where an object is stored on the system. You should get a locations vor an object in both the source and the target Centera.
It is up to the application to store it's objects. Whether they have an object resp blob stored with them is not necessarily the case. The 0 blobs tells you that it the object you checked does not store an object.

Hello holger,
am not a centera "Guy"
,
they are using symantec vault , and they have to confirm the data replicated to the DR box, they recieve warning event ID 41021 ,there are many files waiting to be indexed, so tried sho location for few files , few of them with blobs and other not , i guess this will not be the problem , I'd appreciate to share any advise /recommendations with EV .
Thanks.
