Centera communications protocol
Hi all, Wish to know if there is a technical doc which talks about the detailed communications protocol between Centera clients and Centera? --Harry

Can I imagine the XAM SDK runs on same proprietary protocol? Or is it XAM actually a protocol itself?
Other than NFS that is supported by CUA, any other open communication protocols are supported by Centera?

What you are asking for is proprietary EMC information and, even if such a document existed, it would not be available outside of EMC Centera Engineering.

This question sounds stupid but any chance Centera to provide an ATMOS-like interface?

The underlying XAM VIM uses the Centera SDK "stack", and thus does use the same protocol.
All communication between the Centera and any client is carried out using this protocol (via the SDK). The CUA presents users with an NFS interface, but on the device itself it uses the SDK (and thus the protocol) to carry out the Centera transactions.

Anyone knows if the communications are protected by some kind of encryption? SSL?
