Add subnet access to the Centera
Hello,
I'm a Centera newbie... So i have a very simple question!
When i give the following command: SHOW IP LIST
i see al the network interfaces, with their corresponding IP address and gateway.
I want to add access to an evault server. The IP range/subnet from the evault server isn't in the IP list from the interfaces.
How can i add access to a new subnet? Is there some routetable in the Centera so i can add the new route to an network-interface?
The concerning networkrouter has been configured so the evault traffic is routed to the Centera.
Many thanks!

Hello Timo,
The IP Addresses you see is the ip addresses set on the access nodes ( the nodes used for external connectivity) . This can be set as per your needs . I have an extract from the Centera Online help that can assist you decide on it and also configure it as per requirements so that the evault server and the access nodes are in the same subnet.
Change Node IP Address
It is possible to change the IP address of a node with an external node role. Note that you can only change the external address, the one seen by the network, not addresses internal to the cluster.
Before you start
Make sure the following details are available before setting a new IP address:
The node ID
Where is in the form cxxxnyy. cxxx identifies the cabinet and nyy the node in that cabinet (xxx and yy are numeric). Use the show node detail all command to find out the ID and role of all nodes in the cluster.
The new IP address
If the node will use DHCP then no other information is required.
If a node is to have a fixed IP address, then the following information is also required:
The subnet mask
Address of the default gateway
Address of the Domain Name Server (DNS)
The IP address of the node, gateway, and DNS, together with the subnet mask, must be obtained from the network administrator beforehand. Entering incorrect information may result in the cluster not being visible on the network which could cause data loss.
Changing the IP address
Before you start the procedure for changing the IP address make sure that you pause any ongoing replication and/or restore operations and stop the host application. After the IP addresses have been changed, make sure that you resume the paused replication and/or restore operations and restart the host application.
Start the CLI.
Connect as a user with the configuration role.
Issue the command:
set node ip
For example, to change the IP address of node c001n05 enter:
set node ip c001n05
Type the information required at each prompt. A summary of what appears on screen is shown below:
Use DHCP (yes, no) [no]: no
IP address [212.5.51.12]:
Subnet mask [255.255.255.0]:
IP address of default gateway [212.5.51.15]:
IP address of Domain Name Server [152.99.87.47]:
Issue the command? (yes, no) [no]:
If you choose DHCP then no other information is required.
Type y and press Enter to issue the command.

Hi Timo
At the moment you cannot add two additional access nodes that are accessible in another subnet. Maybe in a next release of CentraStar.
Best regards, Holger
