Unity 480 File System Data Reduction Issue & Performance Concerns

Hi,

I am using a Dell EMC Unity 480 running UnityOS 5.4.0.0.5.094.
I have a file system configured with a size of 22TB (14.9 TiB used). This file system was initially set up with Data Reduction enabled.

Recently, I decided to cancel Data Reduction on this file system. However, after disabling it, I received the following message:

"Only the newly written data will have data reduction applied. Existing data will remain unchanged."

I have two questions regarding this situation:

  1. Is there a way to completely remove Data Reduction from all existing data on this file system?
  2. If not, would it be advisable to clone the file system? If cloning is recommended, could you please provide detailed steps on how to properly clone a file system in Unity 480?

As part of troubleshooting, I also reconfigured the file system to "Highest Available Tier," but unfortunately, this did not resolve the performance issue.

The reason I am addressing this is that I am experiencing very low data copying speeds specifically on this file system. Other file systems on the same Unity array have normal performance.

I appreciate any guidance or best practices to resolve this issue.

Thanks!
