SPCollect/NAZ Collects: works via CLI, access denied w/GUI
Hi there,
Product is a Celerra NS-120.:
I'm having some access/permission issues on one of my two SPs and I'm hoping someone can help. The work around for the problematic SP seems to be to perform the actions using naviseccli, even though I'm using the same credentials to do so (user: nasadmin)
NAZCollects: I was able to retrieve from the archive for SPB but when I try to retrieve for SPA, I get a "access is denied: check username/password/scope". Workaround: I retrieved the log files via naviseccli. Generating the logs from Unisphere worked fine.
SPCollects: I was able to generate/retrieve the files for SPB, however I wasn't even able to generate them for SPA. Workaround: use naviseccli to both GENERATE and RETRIEVE logs. The only log which was generated for SPA when I tried doing so via Unisphere had a message saying "Access was denied".
The only suggestion I came across which seemed to be related to my problem was to ensure there are no defined users on the "Agent" tab under SPA's properties. I confirmed both SPA and SPB show the same, which is no defined users.
Question: What's different from SPA to SPB that one has access/permission issues (SPA) and the other doesn't (SPB)
Question: Why can I get around those permission issues using the exact same credentials at the CLI?
TIA
Erik

i would start out with a sanity restart of the Management service on each SP (http://SPA/setup)

Can you please advise on the impact of this action? Does "management service" mean no visible impact to end-users?

Thank you for the suggestion. I'm still facing the same problem after restarting the management server.
