Query regarding vdm filesystem extension-ns80
Hello Friends,
Need your help to extend root filesystem for vdm.I am unable to create cifs share on any of the filesystem..
noticed inode reached 95% for the root fs on vdm...
Can i use this syntax to extend it online?
/nas/sbin/rootnas_fs -x root_fs_vdm_vdm88 size=128M pool=clar_r5_performance -option slice=y
Can anyone update me does it impact the cifs access?

that command will work perfectly. We had a similar situation where rootfs was full and new users could not be authenticated, while users who connected to that share before had no problems. Probably had something to do with secmap caching, as soon as i extended the file system the issue went away.

Before extending the root_fs of the VDM, you may want to look into why it is becoming full. Please make sure to open a CHAT session via Powerlink so this can be investigated first.
Thanks.
