NTP with iSCSI only???

I need some “best practice” guidance regarding NTP configuration on a Celerra.

Customer has iSCSI-only Celerra.  i.e. only volumes that are being accessed are iSCSI LUNs presented to the network via Data Movers.

In this environment, should NTP servers always be defined and configured??  If so are there any special circumstances that would make a different configuration more suitable?

You dont really need NTP for ISCSI

Its good though since the timestamps in the logfiles are correct.

Plus currently some automated check scripts might complain if there is no working NTP

If you don’t have an NTP server in the subnets connected to the data movers you could configure them to use the control station as an NTP server via the internal management network
