NAS DB LUN issues

Hello,

We deleted couple of lun's in clariion before deleting them in Celerra NS -120 model. Please see below for the lun #'s. Can any one help me in deleting those disks and edit nasdb to scan the storage on celerra. We have a clariion CX-3 attached to celerra.

code upgrade will not fix it, it may actually fail the pre-upgrade script. There are entries in a couple of special files that contain information about file systems, volumes, slices etc. You need to have EMC do it or you might cause some serious issues.

Its not a production box so.. we can play around with it to fix it. If there is no go other thatn with EMC then i guess i have to follow it.

Hello Dynamox, thanks for replying.

I did open an SR for this but its an billable charge for us. So i want to fix it myself. Does the code upgrade fix this issue ?

If it's not a production box, can't you do a fresh install?  That will solve the issue.

[EDIT] You may be able to get your local CS team to assist you with a fresh install as part of "putting the box in production". Only the NS-20 and the NX-4 were certified for customer installation, if memory serves.  Someone correct me if I'm remembering that wrong.

I can do a fresh install but i need to zero out the clariion lun's i mean the root disks of the celerra. If someone can get me the steps on that. I can fix it myself.
