NAS CELERRA - DART 5.6.49 and CA brighstor 12 - strange error after restore to map CIFS share
i am restoring a backup to a map CIFS share drive. The restore completes
but with a lot of error. The files and folder are restored ok, but the application
reports this errors
E3452 Unable to write stream name EC= The Security ID structure is invalid.
any idea
something else, the rights permition, are restore good.

Hi,
Please check the acls of the file and folders as I think these error are related to the Unresolvable SID from the file system folder at the level in which Inheritance begins.
Also check any errors or warning messages in the server logs.

Thanks Kulkarni, your right
we found a lot of user defined, that are inexistence users
from the windows domain, active directory side.
we try to delete some of them and the error has gone.
nas cifs server receive without problem de restore (good news)
these are the error from de backup server:

now the problem is that, there are a lot of folders with this problem, any tool you recomend to delete enexistence windows domain users

HI,
I am not sure of the windows tools but I found few tools that could be usefull but they are probably not freeware's "RemoveUnknown" was one of them.
I guess the windows admin would suggest you better way to do that. else you have to remove it manually
one by one...
