Migrate a Celerra LUN?
Hi.
In my CX700, I have a 1375G LUN on raid5 6+1 ATA drives. I would like to move it to a new shelf of FC drives. Normally I would use the Navisphere Manager and create a new destination LUN of equal size or larger then migrate the ATA LUN to the new FC LUN. No problem. However the LUN in question belongs to a storage pool on my Celerra. This concerns me.
Can I go ahead and migrate the Celerra ATA 6+1 LUN to a larger 6+1 FC LUN?
And since the new LUN will be slightly larger, will the Celerra be able to use the extra space?
Thank you.

Hi Brian,
please do NOT use LUN migration on Celerra data LUNs like these - it will get you into trouble
I suggest to migrate the data using Celerra Replicator or NAS_copy
