LUN expansion for Celerra
Hello,
I have a customer requirement, where the customer wants to expand the LUN which serves as a CIFS file share on a NS-G2. While the pool in which the LUN resides has sufficient free space, and the LUN expansion shouln't be a challenge, what are the additional tasks I should do from the Control station side to make it aware of the new size ? How can this be done with minimum impact, since this is a production environment ? I was told that creating a new LUN is the correct way to set about - what are the implications from the control station side for this ?
Regards,
Naleendra

Lun Expansion is not supported with Celerra.
Please do not do use it, because you will loose your data.
Adding an additional Lun to the NS-G2 is the way to go, if you need more storage for the NS-G2

Basically instead of expanding the LUN you make another new LUN available to the Celerra and then the Celerra volume manager allows you to extend the file system (it will concat the new space to the old space)
Make sure you create a LUN with the same RAID config as the existing ones
It is all online without disruption
