We  have  both  CIFS  and  NFS.  Could  you  share in  details  to  check how the permissions are set up on the celerra filer from filer  GUI..

Attached GUI console  screen shot  for  ref..  also please  share how  to  check in CLI.

CIFS permissions ? Use windows explorer to look at directory ACLs , for share permissions use Windows MMC to connect to your CIFS servers (manage > connect to another computer)

CIFS permissions (specifically share permissions) will need to be check from the MMC. Right click on my computer > manage > right click on computer management > connect to another computer > another computer > enter CIFS server name. Once connected you will be able to browse to system tools > shares. Actual directory permissions are managed from any windows host

NFS - from Celerra you control who can see specific file system, permissions are managed on the host itself.
