Hi,
if you installing a Celerra yourself as an end customer then you need to use CSA.
I would suggest to make sure you have the latest CSA version from Powerlink that is supported for your DART code.
In case of problems please work with EMC customer service and take a look at the FAQ and troubleshooting documents on Powerlink.
If your sale also includes EMC installation you can also have an EMC implementation engineer configure the system.
CSA usually works just fine – unless you have network problems or local firewall / AV settings that block it.

Hi,
as dynamox stated, CSA is the right way to install an integrated box.
I understand the problems you faced on the past might concern you regarding use the CSA, but I can ensure the tool was improved a lot in the last versions.
We have internal solutions with the steps to bypass a CSA installation, but should be used only as a last resort.
I recommend you to use the CSA, and in case you have problems the support will be able to bypass it.
I hope you change this impression using the CSA.

it is best if you use start up assistance as it does a lot of background configuration that you as the end user would not know how to do without EMC assistance. Even when EMC IDE team comes out to install new integrated Celerra they are encouraged to use CSA.
Is this a FC enabled Celerra ?

Hi,
Please, use the version that comes on the tools & applications CD.
The version must match with the NAS code version.
You can also download from powerlink on Home > Support > Product and Diagnostic Tools > Celerra Tools > Celerra Startup Assistant.
