How do I change the sender email address for event notifications in Celerra?

I have changed it by logging into unisphere and going to service tasks\Manage Email User. I have also changed it by running the nas_emailuser  command. 

when an alert actually triggers, or I got to unisphere -> Monitoring -> Notifications and test any of the alerts in there it comes from the default root@hostname.

the alert that triggered recently was a file system utilization message.  this came from the default mail sender and not the sender I have coded in the above two areas.
