How can I provision nlsas disks on vnx 5300 system?

Hello.

I can´t provision nlsas disks for file system, I have only 6 nlsas 2tb disks, but CSA doesn’t allow me to choose them.

Is there another way to configure on a VNX 5300 system?

Hello

1. Create R6 4+2 RG

2. Create two LUNs on RG with different SP owner

3. Add them to Celerra SG with HostID greater then 16

4. Go to CS by ssh as nasadmin

5. Issue "nas_diskmark -mark -all" command and wait for a while

6. Check new dvols were added to Celerra by using "nas_disk -l"

7. Then you can add dvols to manually created pool or leave it in system pool

See Powerlink Celerra tools on how to create the RGs and LUNs manually

Hello

Take a look at "Managing Volumes and File Systems on VNX™ Manually" document.

It's located Home > Support > Technical Documentation and Advisories > Hardware/Platforms Documentation > VNX Series > General Reference

For 6 nlsas disks you can only use R6 4+2

Best regards,

Alex

If i remember you have to select "protection" for your RAID Configuration under the VSA in order to have a R6 4+2

Thank you for your answer, I read the documents, but my problem is I can't asign disks, all time appear message, disk can't provisioning, this appear with CSA tool, when I tried to provisioning manually, disc doesn't appear elegibles.

Just a can see them if a configure by block, but I need for file system.

Any other recomendation?
