DAE not recognized by Celerra NX4FC
I followed the documents that came with the SAN for the installation, but at two different locations, the DAE does not get recognized by the SAN. At a third location, I connected it after I configured the SAN and then it appeared. How do I get the DAE to work with the system?

I would suggest to follow the documentation on Powerlink

Unless you have exceeded the maximum supported drive count, you likely need to load the Expansion Pack enabler to recognize anything in addition to the base DPE configuration. This is discussed in the "Adding a Disk Array Enclosure" document available from the link that Rainer_EMC provided.
I also wanted to mention that once you have the DAE recognized, you may also encounter an issue with supported drives and required FLARE version to recognize them. Use the following post as reference to using the "AX4-5 Series Storage Systems Disk and FLARE OE Matrix" guide to verify the following:
1) Supported drives
2) (If noted) required FLARE version
https://community.emc.com/message/614858
The above post discusses just one example:
1) Supported drive: 2TB SATA P/N:5049059
2) Required FLARE version: (at least) 02.23.050.5.707
