Could we create more than one interface per Ethernet Channel?
Hello,
I'm facing an issue with Ethernet Channel. In fact I want to create more than one interface on an Ethernet Channel. These interfaces must be in the same subnet.
My Ethernet Channel device is created on 4 ports and I want to use 2 IP Addresses (192.168.10.1 and 192.168.10.2) on this Ethernet Channel.
Is this configuration possible ?
Product : NS-G8
NAS Code: 5.6.51
Thanks

Sure – interfaces are just logical constructs built on top of devices like EtherChannels, FSNs or physical interfaces.
You can create up to 509 interfaces with different IP addresses (same of different subnet) per physical data mover.
Of course if you want to use multiple subnets on one device the the use of VLANs tagging is recommended.
In terms of traffic flow (with NFS) the default is that the Celerra sends out the reply back out the same interface the NFS request came in (IP reflect)
So is you balance your incoming load (different mounts) then the outgoing will follow accordingly.

i don't see why not, you can create multiple interfaces on LACP/Etherchannel device.

Thank you all.
It worked fine.
In fact, it was a misconfiguration on the switch side.
