CIFS permission only SID is listed
We performed successfull reboot of EMC NS20, with CIFS server, member of Windows 2008 R2 domain. Now When I cleck on any folder, NTFS permission, it displays only the SID's and not the actual user ID. What is the problem? Appreciate your quick reply.

The responsible for translate the SID's in names ( user and groups ) are the domain controllers.
This symptom can have some reasons, but I would verify the Active Directory first.
Please see primus :

If those solutions does not help, please open a support ticket.

I have opened a support case with EMC. We have other CIFS servers in the same domain and are working fine.
