Certain Excel sheets from NAS share are getting locked and showing as in use by another user.
Certain Excel sheets from NAS share are getting locked and showing as in use by another user. Though the users have never touched these files.. The users whose ids show up as currently using the files are all from our Citrix team. The Nas share has only BU data and its an issue only with Excelsheets and with this Share only. PPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEE HHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPP

Vipin and Rainer are spot on - getting on the latest code is your first, best bet. Are you running CAVA by any chance? If so, make sure you're on the latest version for your DART level. There are often issues with file locking and/or CAVA file locking for scans that can lead to these issues. Take a look at emc62326, which has some examples on excluding Microsoft file types in CAVA scans.

Of course if none of your clients or domain controllers had any software updates in the last 1.5 years than it wouldn’t be so bad to stay at the old code level for the Celerra ☺

We do not have CAVA in our environmen.. should I still go for NAS code upgrade.??

There's no reason not to proceed with the upgrade. I only mentioned CAVA because it's pretty common for CAVA to have locking issues. See the Primus I mentioned above for more details.
