Celerra Storage pool

Hi,

I don't see any capacity metrics in XML API doc for Celerra/VNX. For exmaple Storage pool doesn't give any description about the size. Simply they say that it is long. I just want to know whether it is KB or Bytes or MB.

usedSize long required Returns the amount of space already used on this storage pool.
autoSize long required For the pools that are not dynamic, returns the total size of all members of the pool. For the pools that are dynamic, returns the potential, maximum total size, in other words the total size of all members plus the space available for the pool extension.
size long required Returns the size of the storage pool as it is used in operations.

usedSize="16394736" templatePool="10" stripeSize="64" stripeCount="2" storageSystems="1" size="18783212" name="clarata_archive" movers="1 2" memberVolumes="98 102 105 108 441 450 500 507" mayContainSlicesDefault="true" diskType="clata" description="CLARiiON RAID5 on S-ATA" autoSize="18783212" pool="10">

It applies for other objects like LUN, FileSystem usage etc...

Can you please refer me where i can get the capacity metrics for all objects in Celerra/VNX.

Thanks

Naren

Hi Jithin

I got this above info from the XML guide you have attached from the above link. In the XML guide, for any capacity size, they have not mentioned whether it is in Blocks or KB, or MB. Please let me know where i can get this information. if it is not documented , only developers will know about this information and i don't have any direct access to them. Can you please get it and pass it on to me.

Thanks

Naren

Jithin,

Did you ever find a certain answer to the unit question above?

Are these values in Mebibytes (1024^2) or Megabytes(1000000)?

Thanks,

Kenneth
