Can Cava and AV reside on different systems.

Hi,

Does cava need to be installed on the same machine where AntiVirus server is running. Is it possible to have CAVA on one machine and AV server seperately. if it is sepeare then how does cava agent communicates with AV, do we need to do any configuration. please comment.

Hi,

The Celerra antivirus solution uses a combination of the Celerra Network Server Data Mover, CAVA, and a third-party antivirus engine. The CAVA software and a third-party AV engine must be installed on a Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, or Windows NT server in the domain

Thanks for the quick reply.

so we need to install both CAVA software and AV engine on same windows box.  correct me if iam wrong.
