Adding Storage to Celerra

When adding storage to a system storage pool in Celerra, is there an advantage to using AVM (emc138143) as opposed to using the Celerra Disk Provisioning Wizard in Unisphere?

Also, with a 12 + 2 RAID 6 configuration with 2 TB drives, the Disk Provisioning Wizard shows it would add 17.91 TB of space.  Wouldn't you think it would add 24 TB?

Thanks...

it must be creating two raid groups (4+2 and 6+2)

AVM (clariion_setup) script is old-school, i would use the wizard.

12+2R6 = 21882 GB usable capacity , did the wizard configure a hot spare for you ?

Yes, we are adding fifteen 2TB drives to the clarata_r6 storage pool.  So, one hot spare and the rest in a 12 + 2 R6 config.  According to the wizard, this takes me from 16 TB to 34 TB - an increase of only 18 TB.
