Why does Avamar client automatically launch registration every 5 minutes and trigger some PTR queries?

My Avamar client automatically registers to Avamar server every about 5 minutes. Is that normal?
During the registration, there are always PTR queriers ( to Avamar server) appearing, which are noisy for the DNS which doesn't have PTR record for the Avamar server. Do you thing those PTR queries are triggered by Avamar client's registration? Why need to trigger that? How to avoid that?
