Prevent proxy client from backing up VMs on other hosts
Because we use an NFS datastore shared across the cluster, we run into a known issue when removing/consolidating snapshots after a vproxy client on one host backs up disks via the hot-add method from a VM on another host.
Is there a way to limit the VMware proxy clients to only backup VMs on the host on which they reside?

Well, the simple answer is no.
You can allow Avamar VMware proxy to use only manually selected Data Stores, but then You end up with manual setup. But that would require setting up a separate proxy per each host...
I would recommend environment redesign, so resources can be more shared across the pool.
