Max clients in a group
Are there any recommendations on how many clients should we have in a group under Avamar 7.3? We have more than 500 clients and are thinking if it is appropriate to put them all in one group to start together for the backup or divide them into multiple groups?
Also, want to know if Avamar starts the backup in fifo or lifo method i.e. if there are 20 sessions, it will start with 20 clients at a time. What is the criteria to choose these 20 clients and what would be the basis for it to pick up the next client for backup? We are using Avamar 7.3.

For VM's I was instructed to only have about 100 servers per group, and stager the start times.
so for any group where I have over 100, I copy it to group 2 and break out the clients.
then set it to start 1/2 hour or 1 hour latter. but this was for VM backups, so as to not kill the VM server with too many requesst at once.
I don't have that many physical so I have one group for each type (Linux,MAC,Windows....)
I always thought it was getting the order from who has been the longest without a backup.
not sure if that is correct.
