In Avamar,can a Utility node of a decommissioned grid be reused as an NDMP accelerator node ?
I have a GEN4 Utility node (part of a decommissioned grid) and was wondering if it can be reused as an NDMP accelerator node on another server ?

Utility nodes and small NDMP accelerators use the same hardware. As long as the node is re-kickstarted, there should be no problem with this. Make 100% sure the node is re-kickstarted. Trust me. Be very sure. Really bad things happen otherwise.

As Ian said you can re-use the utility node if the node is re-kickstarted. Hope you can solve the problem successfully.
