How to exclude SAP database files for backup

Our SAP database file directory structure is /oracle/SID/sapdata1-99. If I want to exclude the files under those directory, what's the exclusion list? I just want to exclude the database files, but still want to keep the directory structure. Can I use widecard in exclusion list, like /oracle/*/sapdata*/* ?

Yes, you can use wildcards. Try adding *sapdata* to the exclusion list.
