How many total concurrent restore jobs can be run on an EMC Avamar server
Hi All,
my avamar is IDPA running on ver. 19.9. My question is:
1) How many total concurrent restore jobs ((not vmware client, regular data, filesystem) can be run on an EMC Avamar server?
2) I restore data to NFS directory on client, it is very slow, how can I fix that issue?
Thank you.

Hello,
To my knowledge, you can have like 80 jobs.
A typical backup should take about one hour for every million files in a file server or about one hour for every 100 GB of data in a database server.
Backup with Physical Data domain over 1g network 200-300 GB/hr is expected for large files like databases or VM image or Hyper-v.
Backup with Physical Data domain over 10g network 600-800 GB/hr is expected for large files like databases or VM image or Hyper-v.
Restore rates are 50% of backup rates.
Restore rates are slower for remote or cloud tier backups (saves space not time) over WAN the rates are reduced to usable available bandwidth.Initial backup times are 5-20 times longer.
If over wan the rates are reduced to usable available bandwidth.
Here are 2 KB's I hope you have access to, that will detail what I am saying a bit further.
