Can we move the client from retired domain in avamar
Hi,
unfortunately my customer retired a production sql box in 7.1 grid and registered it to a new grid of 7.3 now his sql team has asked for some restore from old data. unfortunately the data is in old grid only. we tried to replicate the data from retired domain but it did not work. is there any way to move the client out from the retired domain in old grid.

Can he reinstall the 7.1 client and the register his server back to the 7.1 grid? Restore, and then put it back on 7.3?

sorry I meant uninstall of 7.3 will ask for reboot

if we reinstall the 7.3 and install 7.1 it will ask for reboot of the production sql server. I am not sure if customer will like to go in path. he wants to either move the client from retired domain or some how replicate the data from retired domain to the new grid and then restore that data in new grid.
