Bare metal recovery on a smaller hard drive
Hi everyone,
When you want to do a Bare metal recovery of a workstation, the destination disk size must be at least equal or greater than the original disk. Do you know if there is a way to force the recovery even if the destination disk is smaller? I have a customer who has changed the 500GB hard drive by a 256GB SSD. However, saved source data does not exceed 50GB. Many thanks

The problem is that the bare metal restore recreates the partitions at the original sizes. If there is not enough disk capacity to create the partition at full size, the restore will fail. As far as I know there is no way to override this behaviour.
