AVE Upgrade from 7.5.0 to 19.2

Hi

I have a AVE running 7.5.0, that I need to upgrade to 19.2, i have had several attempts and ended up rolling back to a snap shot every time.  My issue is the requirement for SLES SP4 for the 19.2 release, i cant find any doc on how to upgrade the SP level from SLES 11 SP1 that is currently running to the required SLES 11 SP4, so following the SLES upgrade guide and mounting the DVD's and running the upgrades in sequence SP2, SP3 to SP4, all seem to break various components, as i have seen the downgrade of postgresql from 9.4.6 to 9.3.x which breaks MCS, if i re upgrade postgresql then EMS wont start. Various attempts to restore checkpoints all result in EMS still failing and therefore the roll back to the snapshot.

I can successfully get to the 19.1 release, but rolled back as i dont know when the SLES SP4 upgrade should be completed.

Can any one explain how to complete the process?

Thanks

Some bad news I'm afraid: According to KB540657 you cannot upgrade the OS of AVE from SLES 11 SP1

540657 : Avamar Virtual Edition - hotfix 312550 is being rejected in SLES 11 SP1 due to incorrect version of the Operating System  https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/540657

If you had SP3 you could upgrade using that AVP Hotfix Package

535053 : Avamar: How to upgrade Avamar OS from SLES11 SP1/SLES SP3 to SLES11 SP4  https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/535053

But that KB explicitly states:

Note Avamar Virtual Edition (AVE) running SLES 11 SP1 cannot upgrade to a higher version using this hotfix.

Your only option is to deploy a new AVE and migrate the data (says so in the first KB I posted)
