avamar Flag to skip errors in specific location
Hi All,
Is there a flag I can set for a specific folder to ignore any errors encountered while the server is being backed up?
This one directory is causing me grief cause the files are constantly updated and i receive the following error
"2017-08-23 03:06:55 avtar Error <16507>: Path "z:\xxxxxxx_xxxx\xxxxxxxx\xxxx_xx.txt": Total processed bytes 2642 is inconsistent with original data size 3488"
Any input would be appreciated

It looks like this is a Windows machine backing up a mapped directory. If it's a CIFS/NFS share from a remote device take a look at the following
KB 174435 - Avamar and supportability for CIFS / NFS mapped network shares
If it's not a remote / NAS storage device you may want to look into why VSS isn't able to freeze the file system.
The following article which documents the scenario you mention
KB 323368 - How open files are handled during an Avamar backup on Unix/Linux and Windows
It's not possible to set avtar flags which apply solely to a particular folder and although it is possible to downgrade specific error codes this isn't recommended since it can lead to inadvertent data loss.
