Avamar Exchange DAG Backup Failing Error: 10007

We have two Exchange DAGs in our environment and we setup both for IP based federated backups.

On the first night DAG1 completed with errors. The logs had errors stating it failed to start the subworkorder on 2 of the 4 servers. But it completed and the restore options look like it backed up all of the databases.

DAG2 timed out and failed after 12 hours. All of the servers failed to start the subworkorder except one. The one server that was running the backup timed out with "BACKUP_SYNCHRONIZATION_IN_PROGRESS". I contacted support and they said that the synchronization wasn't needed in our environment and disabled it for future backups. We tried another backup and it failed with a few errors.

The plugin on remote client MSXXXX (10.X.XX.XXX) terminated with error code 10007: miscellaneous error Please examine the logs on client MSXXXX for details.
and Remote client DRDCXXX is unable to proceed with backup because another backup is already in progress.

I informed support that some of the servers in the DAG were in another datacenter and joined to our DR Avamar node. Support said that they should all be in the same node. I retired the DR servers from the DR Avamar node and activated them with the primary node. I then tried the backup again. It failed again with another backup is already in progress error. After another support call with a different support person we eventually decided to restart all of the servers and try again. Now the backups fail after a minute with the same error. another backup is already in progress

So now, on night two. Both DAG1 and DAG2 failed with the same error. another backup is already in progress

Has anyone seen this error and know how to clear the old backup? I verifed that both DAGs are using a separate smb share for the cluster. I am thinking possibly re-running the config wizard on both DAGs since the DR servers were joined to the primary node?
