Avamar 7.0.1-61 proxy upgrade to 7.1 SP1(Fix)
hey guys,
I'm about to perform a proxy upgrade but not sure if I can upgrade from 7.0.1-61 to the newest 7.1.1 SP1 (not build 141) with the iso. Is that upgrade path supported or will we need to re deploy new proxies?

Hi,
EMC suggests the following solutions for these proxy compatibility issues:
- If 7.1 proxies will be deployed, the preferred solution is to upgrade all existing 7.0
proxies to 7.1.
- If new 7.1 proxies will never be simultaneously deployed with the existing 7.0
proxies, change the mcserver.xml max_jobs_per_proxy setting to 1.
You cannot use both 7.0 and 7.1 proxies with the same Avamar server. This is because
the Avamar server max_jobs_per_proxy setting is global. Read more about upgrading proxies from Avamar-7.1-for-VMware-User-Guide.
If I would be you, I would re-install all the proxies and not upgrade single one as I have witnessed quite many problems with upgrades & upgraded proxies.

I have upgraded all my 7.0 proxies to 7.1 (15 proxies total), have yet to see any issues.
