AER restoring Solaris files
Hello.
I've successfully imported a Solaris filesystem backup from tape into Avamar Extended Retention. Now I wish to restore some data from this import.
When I login to AER at the Avamar Administrator Client in order to proceed with the restore, I can see the Solaris client listed, but there are no backups listed at all, even browsing on the right date of the backup imported.
If I try to browse by File/Folder instead, I get the solaris server listed and when I attempt to expand it, I get the error "Client must be activated and enabled prior to backup/restore activity.".
So, how can I restore files from this backup?
I don't believe that I have to register the current Avamar Solaris client with the AER in order to browse the files that are actually listed on a backup import. Otherwise, what if that Solaris server doesn't exist anymore and I just need to get a few files from backup?
Thank you.

Follow instructions from the user guide
Avamar 7.2 Extended Retention User Guide
Restoring imported backups to a client
After a backup has been imported, you must perform the following tasks to restore the
backup to its original client or to another location:
Using the Avamar Extended Retention Workspace
- Install the Avamar Administrator from the Media Access node's Avamar server on the
machine you are using to perform backups and restores.
- Identify the Avamar clients to which you are planning to restore backups, and activate
them to the Media Access node's Avamar server.
- Use the Avamar Administrator to restore the backups to a client.
Note
The EMC Avamar Administration Guide contains instructions for performing these tasks.

Thank you Alexandre for the information.
Can you send me the instructions to activate / re-activate / install the Solaris client on AER? Couldn't find a procedure in AER user guide.
Thank you.
