x17 R2, no options to disable Hyper-V Virtualization via BIOS
I'm trying to disable Intel's Hyper-V Virtualization. However, in the BIOS there are no options regarding Virtualization at all even though in system information it clearly states its enabled. Which is weird because according to Dell my bios should have an option unless the PC doesn't support it? The bios seems very basic and not fully unlocked, is there anyway to gain access to these options without flashing a new bios risking bricking the device? I also need to disable Kernal DMA Protection. However, I believe my bios does have that option but I'm stuck until I can disable Virtualization.

It's done at the operating system level, not the firmware.

Since the only OS Dell supports on this model is Windows 11, it makes no difference whether the firmware shows VT on or not -- the OS won't.
The only situation might arise if you're trying to run another OS -- for which, see above -- it's not something Dell supports.

@ejn63 So if I'm doing something that requires it to be off, I should be good because the OS doesn't recognize it as enabled? I'm looking to use a dma card and everything i see requires virtualization to be disabled.

@skyp3user Have you found this to be true? I'm going to run a DMA card and can't turn off virtualization on an R13

@IkeIke11 I was never able to figure it out but it doesn't seem like they give you the option, I ended up selling it and buying a tower before I could figure it out. I would ask on some forums more dedicated to the DMA stuff they might have some ideas.
