x17 R2, how warm is too warm?

I have an Alienware x17 R2 and I notice my computer runs very hot. Using for normal day to day functions I sit at about 80 degrees Celsius, and when gaming it tops out at 99. I also recently had a CPU fan fail and had to send it in for repairs. Are these temps normal for a gaming laptop? Everything I can find says these are danger temps. I do have a big fan to keep things cooler, but it still gets to/exceed 99 degrees celsius.
