x17 R1, keyboard stopped working, #9
Is this issue resolved yet? If so how? My x17 R1 has the same problem. My FN keys do not work either. I tried it all even installed a clean windows 11 but the keyboard does not work. Can I get some support please

If after installing the applicable x17 R1 Cherry or Per Key Keyboard V26 Firmware Update Utility (check your invoice to be sure which one you have) and the keyboard is still not working, this means that the x17 R1 MCU (master control unit) keyboard daughterboard is likely broken. I doubt that Dell Spare Parts USA 1-800-357-3355 can sell them since these were released in 2021. But call and ask. If not, then you will have to search the internet for a seller.

Installing the firmware keeps coming up with a failer so I ordered the board which will be send to me from the us, hopefully this will work

So installing the new board did not help, I could just type my password and then it stopped again, emptied the system and installed windows 11 anew and the per keyboard firmware still gives a fail, any other solution?
