x17 R1, horrible fan noise

My laptop fan started making this noise at high fan speeds. Given the frightening nature of this issue, I'm too scared to turn my computer back on. I've also found that sometimes when I turn the computer on, the fans aren't working at all for a few minutes. Despite this, temperatures appear to be ok (50-80 degrees). It's coming from the right hand side. Any ideas what might be causing this? Is my computer hosed? By chance is there an easy fix? Anyone else experience something similar? All help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi @80HighDef welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.

Thanks for video link in OP, that puts the noise fault into context. Is the x17 R1 Dell warranty still valid? Seemingly a new part is required. Please visit your online Dell account and create Service Request so that Dell knows there is a problem to fix.

Please click on @DELL-Cares to send Private Message requesting assistance.

I understand the situation. May I know if you experience the system overheating? Please clean the air vents & check if it helps. Also update BIOS & check. Click on the link HERE, enter the system service tag and click Submit. Select the Operating system from the drop down list to get drivers for your system model. Let me know if this helps.
