Windows 24H2 is not compatible with AWCC 6.7

I’ve been troubleshooting this issue for weeks and have exhausted every possible solution, even working with ChatGPT to double-check everything.

After extensive testing, we’ve confirmed that Windows 11 24H2 is not compatible with AWCC version 6.7 on AMD systems — specifically on Alienware laptops like mine that use AMD CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs.

The symptoms are:

  • The Performance tab in AWCC becomes nonfunctional
  • AWCC crashes on launch when attempting to access tuning features
  • Third-party fan or thermal monitoring tools are blocked by Dell’s firmware restrictions
  • Attempting to use these tools often causes the system to crash or shut down

This makes Alienware systems with AMD partially unusable, since Dell relies on AWCC for essential system functions like thermal monitoring, performance tuning, and fan control.

And what has Dell done so far? Nothing.

  • No hotfixes
  • No temporary workarounds
  • No official communication

Meanwhile, affected users are left completely in the dark. I’ve waited patiently for weeks, but nothing has changed. So now I’m posting this anywhere and everywhere, because this deserves visibility.

Dell needs to acknowledge this and take action — whether it’s a compatibility patch, an updated AWCC (6.8+), or at least a clear public statement addressing it.
